Bridging the Trust Gap in Pre-Owned Tech.
We're not just a marketplace. We are India's first certification lab that sells its certified products.
Our Mission
Buying pre-owned electronics has always been a gamble. Vague descriptions, questionable histories, and the fear of hidden defects create a trust gap that leaves buyers feeling uncertain. You are forced to take a leap of faith, hoping the device you receive matches the performance you expect.
Founded out of a living room in Pune, Assurd is built on a simple premise: to eliminate that uncertainty through radical transparency and scientific rigor. Our mission is to empower you to purchase with the same confidence as buying new, backed by a level of objective data that even new products rarely provide.
The Assurd Certification Process
1. Sourcing & Triage
We source high-quality devices and perform a meticulous physical inspection to filter out any units with obvious physical defects.
2. Forensic Analysis
We create a digital fingerprint of each device's hardware, using tools like HWiNFO64 and manufacturer databases to verify its authenticity and original configuration.
3. Rigorous Benchmarking
In our climate-controlled lab, each device is subjected to a suite of demanding, industry-standard benchmarks to quantify its real-world performance.
4. Curation & Reporting
Only devices that meet our strict 'Minimum Performance Standard' are certified and listed. A detailed, verifiable report is generated for every product.
Our Testing Methodologies
Our commitment to transparency means sharing exactly how we test. Below is an overview of our protocol for each product category.
Graphics Processing Units (GPUs)
We use a standardized test bench to eliminate bottlenecks and measure real-world gaming performance in 12 demanding titles, recording not just average FPS but also 1% and 0.1% lows for a true picture of smoothness. We also quantify creative workload performance using industry-standard benchmarks like Blender and PugetBench.

Moving beyond subjective terms, our protocol uses a Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) in an anechoic chamber to scientifically measure acoustic performance. We plot the full frequency response, measure Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) for clarity, and test the effectiveness of Active Noise Cancellation.
View the Full Testing Protocol →Laptops
Our protocol for laptops is a 360-degree analysis, measuring CPU performance with PCMark 10 and Cinebench R23, verifying display quality with a hardware colorimeter, and testing battery endurance under calibrated, real-world workloads.

We provide instrument-verified data on panel quality. Using a Calibrite colorimeter and DisplayCAL software in a controlled, dark-room environment, we measure color gamut coverage, peak brightness, and contrast ratio. Motion performance is quantified by measuring Grey-to-Grey (GtG) response times to determine the best settings for gaming.

Our protocol begins with a multi-source verification process, cross-referencing software reports with hardware-level IMEI database lookups to confirm authenticity. Performance is quantified using Geekbench 6 and 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, while battery endurance is tested under a calibrated 200-nit brightness level for fair, comparable results.
